Sick of being sick

Wouldn't you know? I get a decent amount of time off, and I get sick as a dog. I've been fighting a cold since Christmas Eve, and frankly it's been curtailing a lot of stuff I would have liked to have done this week. Especially write...I can't write very well when my ears are feeling like someone's stuffed them with cotton and then cemented them shut. Things that have gotten the short-shrift? A bio I'm writing for an rpg. A long delayed History of Winter, with some accompanying theories and considering what's going on in the Wildstorm universe... And some fics I'd have liked to have written as gifts for friends (especially annoyed about this, since I'm not going to write something for someone if I didn't think it was the best I could offer them.)

All around I know I'm dealing with a persnickety piddling little thing, but everything is magnified when I'm ill. :-(
